Strozzi Hall

The epicenter of the "beautiful suburban farmhouse of the ancestral family," the large space that joins the villa's "two equally principal facades" - Carnesecchi on the Giardino a Ponente and Strozzi Machiavelli on Via delle Campora - and intersects 'the other two' side ones: the one on the Verziere - now the entrance to the "Residence" La Torre de' Lari - and the other on the vegetable garden at noon. A veritable 'Salone delle Feste' decorated with festive panoplies of trophies and feathered flabels, it opens onto the Garden to the Ponente and then onto the now obsolete 'grassy avenue' leading to the Via di Marignolle. The salon is built on the imposing vats, cellars and orciaie "that had reason and life from the adjoining estates" and that are still charming spaces, available to be revived on special occasions.

Machiavelli Hall

Also called the Music or Arts Room because of the elegant panoply of trophies frescoed in the center of the walls, it is a fitting tribute to Lorenzo Strozzi's first wife, the inspirer and patron of the major restorations done to the villa. As a dignified extension of the Salone delle Feste it acquits itself admirably, in the context of the Residence, of its role as a music room and its new role as a domestic Library or Reading Room or Drawing Room.

Bartoli-Agorai Hall

With two large windows - on the verzier and Campora Street - it retains the location of a valuable terracotta stove that is still fully functional. It is now destined for the Residence Reception office for the first reception of guests and the momentary waiting for arrivals and departures. The table and two sideboards designed by Staude for his dining room were placed here.

Sala Carnesecchi

Also known as the Bride and Groom's Room because of the two fluttering pigeons frescoed in the center of the vault and veiled lunettes, it is mainly used for morning breakfast and for the eventuality of special "refreshments" or buffet receptions favored by the proximity of a modern and highly efficient service kitchen and, for this reason, furnished with a large central table and two lacquered 'sideboards' that already existed in the villa's furnishings.
