The Zauberteatro company will soon re-launch their signature summertime shows, with the Arno as a stage: actors perform aboard flat-bottomed Renaioli boats.

Forget traditional theatre. This year, twelve performances (in Italian) spread from July to September will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1966 Florence flood. The standout play on the program is Manuela Critelli’s Come in America, set against the backdrop of the Florentine tragedy. Featuring actors Silvia Guidi and Fabio Mascagni, the show tells the story of a young couple that was meant to wed on the day of the disaster. July 12–14, 25 + more dates through September.
